Indiana
Indiana is the 38th largest state in the United States and the 19th to be admitted to the Union. Indiana was admitted to the Union on December 11th, 1816. Indiana is situated in the midwestern region of the United States of America.
Indiana has one of the best preserved Native American sites in the United States and the name Indiana means "Land of the Indians".
Indiana is bounded on the north by Lake Michigan and the state of Michigan, on the east by Ohio, on the south by Kentucky and on the west by Illinois. Indiana is one of the Great Lakes states.
Indiana's nickname is the Hoosier State.
