Idaho is the 14th largest state in the United States and the 43rd to be admitted to the Union. Idaho was admitted to the Union on July 3rd, 1890. Idaho is situated in the Pacific Northwest region of the United States of America.
Idaho borders the states of Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Utah, Montana, Wyoming and the Canadian province of British Columbia.
Idaho has a rugged landscape with some of the largest unspoiled natural areas in the United States. Idaho has snow-capped mountains, rapids, lakes and steep canyons.
Idaho has a varied climate and can be hot during the summer months. Idaho's nickname is the Gem State. |
