Hawaii is the 43rd largest state in the United States and the 50th to be admitted to the Union. Hawaii was admitted to the Union on August 21st, 1959. Hawaii is an archipelagic state situated in the North Pacific Ocean.
The Hawaiian Archipelago consists of eight islands and atolls. The islands were all formed by volcanoes. The main islands are Ni'ihau, Kaua'i, O'ahu, Moloka'i, Lana'i, Kaho'olawe, Maui and Hawai'i. Hawai'i is known as the "Big Island".
Hawaii has a typical tropical climate and is an ideal location for a holiday or cruising.
