Connecticut

Connecticut is the 48th largest state in the United States and the 5th to be admitted to the Union. Connecticut was admitted to the Union on January 9th, 1788. Connecticut is located in the New England region of the northeastern United States of America.

Connecticut is bordered on the south by Long Island Sound, on the west by New York State, on the north by Massachusetts and on the east by Rhode Island. The state capital is Hartford.

Connecticut has a Humid Continental Climate with seasonal extremes tempered by its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean. Connecticut's nickname is the Constitution State.
